Scope

Who we are

Freelance Niko is operated by Niko as an independent studio based in Montreal, Quebec. For privacy inquiries, contact niko@freelanceniko.com.

Collection

Data collected

Depending on how you interact with the site, we may process: identifiers you provide in forms (such as name, email address, company name, service interest, budget range, and message content), technical metadata sent by your browser (for example IP address, user agent, and approximate timing of requests), and correspondence you send by email.

The public site does not use third-party advertising pixels or analytics scripts as part of this build. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated before new collection begins.

Use

How your information is used

Form submissions are used to respond to consultation requests, evaluate fit, prepare proposals, and operate the studio's client intake workflow. Technical metadata may be used for short-term security and abuse prevention (for example rate limiting) and to maintain reliable delivery of the website.

We do not sell personal information. Marketing communications, if any, are sent only where consent exists or where a CASL-aligned exemption applies — and every marketing email includes a clear way to withdraw consent.

Processors

Third parties and subprocessors

Email delivery may rely on infrastructure providers (for example transactional email services) strictly to transmit messages you initiate or that are necessary to fulfill a contract. Those providers process data under instructions and contractual safeguards appropriate to their role.

Hosting, DNS, and domain providers may incidentally process technical metadata required to serve the site. We select vendors with serious security postures and limit sharing to what the service requires.

Rights

Your rights and choices

Where GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, and port certain personal data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where Canadian privacy law applies, you may have comparable rights depending on province.

To exercise rights or ask questions, email niko@freelanceniko.com. We will verify reasonable requests and respond within a practical timeframe.

Updates

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect new features, legal requirements, or operational realities. Material changes will be reflected by revising the date and summary at the top of this page when a dated revision system is published; until then, treat the on-site text as the current version.
